This website was judged the winner of the Best Communication category of the Alan Butler Awards for Excellence 2007. Three members of the Committee attended the Safety Groups UK meeting in the House of Lords on 24th January 2008 where they were presented with the Certificate and monitory prize by Judith Hackitt, Chair of the Health and Safety Commission.

Alan Butler Awards for Excellence 2008
The Association again entered the competition for the Best Communication in 2008 with it's newsletter LOVSACHAT and the other communications. We were again fortunate to receive a Highly Commended certificate for this. Three LOVSA members attended the House of Lords on 22nd January 2009 to receive the certificate from Lord Jordan of Bournville.

Alan Butler Awards for Excellence 2011
The Association entered the revised form of the Alan Butler Awards with a submission outlining what we do. We were fortunate in receiving a Silver award for our work in 2011. Two LOVSA members attended the House of Lords on 23rd January 2012 to receive the certificate from Kerry Ross the Safety Groups UK Chairman.
