The Association was originally formed in 1932 as the Beds and Herts Safety Association, with the aim of improving safety and welfare in the workplace.
In the course of time, the Association has widened its interests to provide members with greater scope in safety, health, fire, security and environmental subjects, both in the home and in the workplace.
In later years, as Health & Safety has developed, the Association has focused more on the risk management approach.
What are the benefits of joining the Association?
- The opportunity to attend regular monthly meetings (usually second Thursday), where guest speakers give talks on safety and other related subjects, meetings are eligible for CPD points.
- The opportunity to network and share ideas with colleagues.
